Fry Ups

Currently, the apartment smells amazing.  Last night, I came home to fried squash blossoms.  R had fulfilled a dream/promise from several weeks ago, which began thus:

M: oh! Arganica has squash blossoms!
R: I’m going to make deep-fried squash blossoms!
Both: yay!

While they were somewhat cool by the time I got to them, to say that they were delicious would be an understatement.  Deep-fried anything is amazing, but pretty vegetables stuffed with cheese and then deep-fried is sheer perfection.

This morning, I made turkey bacon for BATs (bacon, arugula and tomato).  There is nothing so hipster as having bacon AND arugula on the same sandwich, but there you have it.
